About prayer times in Istanbul
These are the five daily prayer (namaz) times for Istanbul, Turkey - Fajr at dawn, Dhuhr at midday, Asr in the afternoon, Maghrib just after sunset and Isha at night. Each azan (adhan) is called at the start of these times, and the five together are called salah (salat).
Istanbul's times are calculated from the sun's position for the city's coordinates (41.0082, 28.9784) each day, in the Europe/Istanbul timezone, using the Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı, Turkey method - set by Turkey's Diyanet. Because the calculation follows the sun, the exact minutes change a little every day. The Asr time shown uses the standard (Shafi) position; communities following the Hanafi school pray Asr later. For the precise start of Fajr and Isha, where twilight is gradual, follow your local Istanbul mosque.
